cyberart

Analogue Cyberart is the general usage of computer related things, like floppy discs, circuit boards or even complete hard drives, CD-ROMs, network cables for the purpose of art. Everything that was used with computer can be used to express feelings, thoughts, problems or whatever the mind is up to in analogue Cyberart.

Play the world - Floppy Disk installation by Artist Dominik Jais

When is enough enough, or in other words: How much does the world cost? Or: What are we leaving behind, only piles of garbage?

Play the world is concerned with environmental pollution mainly in the High-Tech fields or the pollution caused by these.

The installation uses the forms of the Tetris game (Тетрис – by Alexei Paschitnow). Though Tetris is always composed of four square blocks each, the number has been doubled for the installation in order to incorporate the rooms height.

Diskette in Wandlung

"Diskette in Wandlung" is my first Cyberart series. It consists of 4 floppy disc sculptures. The series was developed in January 2008. The video was produced during the same time. The music at the clip is from XOIP, which is my pseudonym making electronic music.
