When I walked with the protester I saw all the different people of different professions, origin, backgrounds, income, whatever - united. They were shouting towards the Dáil Éireann (the Irish parliament / lower house) - but they were not allowed to move benear it from the rear site. Some years ago, while I protested againts rising the student fees in Germany, I heared a nice little sentence: "Those who is been protested agains have the right to here the protest". Or putten in other words: "Those who is been protest against have the right to just not listen". Seeing the distance between those leading the country and those beeing led made it somehow perfetly clear to that in modern democracy voters are only numbers.
