The interactive sculpture "A question of speach" shows how people react to a continuous low fidelity playback of recordings of famous speaches of the 20th century. They have the choice to passively listen to the recording, or take action to stop the playback. In order to stop the playback two people have to interact with the sculpture simultaneously. They must stand on the opposite sides closer than 50 cm to the sculpture. Once either leaves their position the playback continues.
In order to build this sculpture materials like floppy disks and obsolete IKEA lamp parts were upcycled.
