Since SSDs affordable now hard drives got more and more replaced by SSDs. They are faster, make no noise and resist physical impacts better than hard drives. Since that old hard drives are available for recycling. But instead of recycling them I cycle them up. I'm working with hard drive parts for a long time now. This is from my 2009 series showing write / read headers stitched on canvas.

Seit dem SSDs ein gutes Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis haben ersetzen sie mehr und mehr gewöhnliche Festplatten. SSDs sind schneller, machen kein Geräusch und sind robuster als HDs. Nach dem Festplatten auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt zum Recyling angeboten werden nutze ich sie. Allerdings nicht zum Recyling sondern zum Upcyling. Ich nutze Festplatten schon sehr lange. "Many stars" ist aus einer Serie aus 2009 es zeigt Festplatten-Schreibleseköpfe.
