“This aint Manhattan” is a 3 layer interactive sculpture - a tower made of MC cases. Each layer reflects a value represented by symbols: religion, money or work. 3 sonar sensors arranged around the sculpture measures the distance between viewer and object. Each sensor is connected to one of the layers. If the measured distance reaches a certain point the corresponding layer lights up.
The viewer has the choice which layer should be “enlighted”. Of course all 3 layers can light up the same time
The question is: does the viewer decides for religion, money or work or a combination?

Die interaktive Skulptur "this aint manhattan" zeigt einen aus Kassettenhüllen gefertigten Turm. 3 Ultraschallensoren messen den Abstand des Betrachters zur Skulpturen und schalten je nach dem die LEDs eines der drei Stockwerke an. Der Betrachter hat somit die Wahl für welches Stockwerk er sich entscheidet - welches der Stockwerke "erleuchtung" erfährt. Entscheidet sich der Betrachter für Geld, Religion oder Arbeit oder sogar für eine Kombination aus mehreren?
